100 things you should do before reaching black belt:
#56- Go on an unforgettable trip to compete or train Jiu-Jitsu with the team.
We have all talked about his for a long time now. I want to go to California in April to compete in the Gi Pan Ams.
I want to put a deposit on the trip so there is no turning back. I think we all need to take this seriously and just do it. I know that everyone is busy and with so much going on that these trips are almost impossible. I have a ton going on all the time but I want to make this happen.
There are divisions for by belt, age and weight. There is a spot for everyone and each of our students would do extremely well.
We have plenty of time to train, save up and prepare for this incredible opportunity.
I would like to get some sort of a team lifting and conditioning day going too. Maybe every WED.
Apparently I close my eyes a lot when I roll so I need to break that habit. I think what happens is that I start to concentrate and close my eyes. I also think while I close my eyes I imagine Im rolling with Orto. The sense that Im rolling with a cover model makes me feel like I am on a higher level than just rolling with regular non-cover model schmucks like Nate.
