So here it is! I knew John would try to difuse this before the word got out around the gym about "the armbar" It was the last roll of the day and John was obviously tired and a bit bloody, something about a ridgehand, I don't know I didn't see it, he claims I hit him in the face, but "things" happen when rolling. I jumped his open guard right to mount, I couldn't believe it, John's look of disgust told it all. John quickly turned to his side and tried to shrimp out from the mount, but I saw it coming and secured side control, for some reason John stayed on his side, probably cause he was looking to turtle up like he always does, but before he could I flat spinned around hooking the arm and stepping up for the cleanest armbar you could imagine. John defended nicely but I could tell he was scared by the way he was shaking and shifting all around, his perfect record against me was about to go down. During one of his attempts to rock up to a sitting position I slapped on a nasty bicep cutter, it was on, and John was panicking (by the way I have been ripping off bicep cutters all over the place lately just ask Dennis, Orto, or Kyle). Then John did the unthinkable--- he actually tried to escape the position by bending back my two baby toes, his so called "toe hold" was literally a toe hold. This cowardly act so enraged me that I let forth with a huge burst of energy yelling out in victory as I finished "the armbar".
just to stir the pot a little.....but is it just me or did it seem like Bourquey just called out Dennnis, Orto, and Kyle in his last post. My interpretation of that statement is he has been ripping bicep cutters against all three of them successfully. Due to my limited knowledge of jits I may be wrong but dont you have to actually attempt the armbar first in order to get to the bicep cutter?? and if thats true I dont see Bourquey slapping armbars on Dennis, Orto, or Kyle. Sorry Flack to basically reiterate your post but I did not just read it until now....so I guess I am not the only one who sees the "call-out".Tiss Tiss young grasshopper
So last night I'm playing king of the guard. Sully is in my guard and is doing an extremely good job of controlling my arm under my body. I'm guessing his grips were going after about 2 minutes because he attempted a spinning pass as though he would land in reverse mount.
In the process, he kicked me in the face. I now look like I'm the lead singer for Blood Polution.
Mike has indeed tried an illegal bicep cutter on me (in the GI), but it wasn't successfull. Mike you are better than that. You don't have to resort to cheap ass, sketchy or shady, illegal submission attempts. Maybe just work on your armbar technique so you won't have to use the cutter.
I got the same hair band member looking left eye today that John had.. except I think it was from an elbow from Mike B. in an attempt to stun me as he passed. It worked.
