We have great training on Mon, Wed and Fri mornings just after the 8:30 class. these sessions are usually no gi but we do both. We work from each position on a timer and rip off submissions and escapes.
This is not casual training and is not for anyone trying to avoid stiff necks, inflamed joints or damaged egos.
It is also not so much of a teaching session. While we do cover technique, be sure to have a solid foundation before you come in.
These sessions are great! I am getting great training with the regulars (Orto, Dennis and Faucher) and also Nate Brown, Rick Hawn and TJ O'Donnell this week.
Chris Page will begin joining us next week as well.
To confirm what I wrote in the original post; my jaw hurts, my neck is stiff and I grinded my teeth so bad on friday that it felt like I was chewing on sand at the beach. After a quick rinse I was back on the mat.
We only drill about three techniques and move along fast.
The only reason I emphasize the pain and discomfort is because I do not want anyone walking into the session and then being offended or turned off.
So in other words, if you like training with Sully, you will love this class!
