Guys,

To all who are competing at NAGA on Saturday, good luck!  I'm sure you will all kick ARSE and represent GBNH well.

Kyle

Congrats to all who competed, this NAGA took forever, I nearly left and probably would have left if it weren't for Nate and Dan telling me to stick around. Glad to see Phil made it down to coach GBNH to 2 golds and 1 silver--nice job by everyone.

I learned a lot from this tournament. The biggest thing I learned was when you get there at 9am and eat breakfast at 1030am.... then you don't eat anything until you compete at 8pm, you are dumb.  I competed at 8pm and when I was done I was dead. Literally seeing stars and dizzy, ready to drop. I was asking Phil what the heck might be wrong. He should of said "you're dumb". Basically I had no energy but my adrenaline just kicked in and got me through. I have never been so burned out. I didn't feel hungry because I was so excited. It was funny cause my next opponent was sitting right next to me and I was having a hard time sitting up. I'm trying to pretend Im good but I was not good.

So in the future, I have to be prepared better. All that work and conditioning to not eat anything for most of the day was not smart.

Good learning experience for me. I lost in the champion ship match by an advantage point. I actually thought I was ahead by an advantage point. Next time I'm not going to let it be that close.

It was good to be there with the other GBNH guys too. Im already looking forward to the next class.

hahaha welcome to the world of jits/ wrestling tournaments. Sit around alllllll day in a smelly gym waiting to compete after you cut weight. Not knowing when your next match is..or your 1st match, when you should get a meal in( cuz you dont want to be to full "a hungry dog fights best"), or who your competing against. However, when you win it is all worth it. Also look on the bright side...atleast its not a two day tournament and you didnt have to make scratch weight that same night!
