Congratulations to everyone today. I am so proud of the turnout. our kids and adults were just amazing.
It was not too long ago that our entire team consisted of white belts fighting up in competition. Now we represent extremely well at all levels. Not one of our guys or girls were ever out matched.
Some of my favorite matches of the day were our losses. Our first time competitors showed a ton of heart and outstanding skill.
Ask and BJJ player and they will confirm that you become a whole new person after your first competition. You just seem to "get it".
We fought as a team today and I am very proud of that.
That tournament was a blast every one of our students showed what we're all about. No one quits, no one gets dominated, everyone leaves with their head held high. I'm honored to be a part of this school. Big thanks to John and Dennis for the great coaching, and thanks to all the students and teammates for your support. Our camaraderie and friendship constantly continue to impress me. I still don't accept Dan for his shorts, but luckily he's a good guy aside from that...
Congrats to the school and everyone. I was disappointed that I couldn't be there this weekend to support the school and roll in my first tournament, but I had family obligations. I look forward to getting back to training this week and hearing how everyone did.
