IF YOU MISSED IT I JUST WANT TO SAY FOR ME AND JOHN,THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO SUPPORTED ''OUR FIGHTERS'' AND OUR PROGRAM IN GENERAL.WE MIGHT HAVE NOT HAD THINGS GO EXACTLY AS PLANNED BUT HEY **** HAPPENS EVERYDAY IN THIS LIFESTYLE, I'M SO PROUD OF OUR FANS AND FIGHTERS I'M ACTUALLY HUMBLED BY THE FAITH THE GUYS HAVE IN US AND OUR PROGRAM...GUYS ALL B.S ASIDE DENNIS FOUGHT AS CLOSE TO A PERFECT FIGHT AS POSSIBLE!THANK YOU DENNIS FOR REPRESENTING THE PROGRAM WHEN THE PRESSURE WAS ON...YOU DA MAN...
Dennis looked amazing, viscious from bell to bell, and took instruction from John and Phil perfectly. Tough endings for Ortolani and Shelby, the bright side is you can learn so much more from a loss than you can from a win and they both will be better fighters for it.
Nice job Dennis. That dudes face blocked alot of your punches. You were clearly in better shape and the more skilled fighter. You had excellent coaching. Great job guys.
Great job to all the fighters!! You guys all looked vicious! Like Phil said **** happens but you guys were dominating up till then. Dennis took his time and was looking to his conner for some great coaching! Great night of fights.
I agree. I find things that motivate me on a regular basis in our academy. I feel very fortunate to have such amazing BJJ and MMA students and teammates!
Thank you guys for all of your support. Dennis did a fantastic job, probably the best of I've ever seen him against one of the toughest and most relentless opponents out there. Ortolani continues to amaze and just gets better and better, but there are some things we just can't plan for. I physically and skill wise felt better than I ever have going in to this bout and just lost focus for a split second and got caught. We know the mistakes we made and will come back stronger than ever. We are the athletes that we are because we have coaches who constantly push us to do better and teammates who force us elevate our games. Thank you all for everything.
“At the peak of tremendous and victorious effort, while the blood is pounding in your head, all suddenly becomes quiet within you. Everything seems clearer and whiter than ever before, as if great spotlights had been turned on. At that moment, you have the conviction that you contain all the power in the world, that you are capable of everything, that you have wings. There is no more precious moment in life than this, the white moment, and you will work very hard for years just to taste it again.” -- Yuri Vlasov, Soviet Weightlifter
