The Northeast BJJ Association will be hosting a Black Belt Seminar & BBQ on Saturday, October 10th at Boston BJJ. The seminar will be led by three Black Belt Instructors, each covering a specific concept in detail. This is a gi seminar. There will be belt promotions before the seminar and there will be a BBQ after the seminar. Guests are welcome at the BBQ. Video of seminar will be available to Association members (sign up for your membership before you register).

Mike Pellegrino (Boston BJJ Blackbelt)
Phil Myers (Gracie Barra NH Head Instructor)

SEMINAR & BBQ COST:
Before Oct 4th: Only $25! (includes Seminar & BBQ)
After Oct 4th: $35*
BBQ Registration Deadline: Sunday, Oct 4th
BBQ Cost For Guests: $15 (members), $20 (non-members)

* No guarantee of spot at BBQ if registered after Oct 4. BBQ cost of $15
will be refunded if there is not enough food for late registrations.

REGISTRATION:

This seminar is expected to fill up, so register early!!!

To reserve a spot at the BBQ, registration and payment must be received no later than October 4th. The seminar/BBQ is open to all students from Association schools, and guests are welcome at the BBQ. Food will be ordered based on the early registration count, and only students (and guests) that are registered early will be guaranteed a space at the BBQ. There will only be a small amount of extra food ordered to accommodate late registrations and walk-ins.

We've changed the schedule of the Seminar. Instead of doing the belt promotions before the seminar, we are going to do it after. This way, families or friends that want to come to the belt promotions can stay for the BBQ and won't have to wait 2hrs for the seminar to end.

Here is the new schedule:

Seminar: 11:00am - 12:45pm
Belt Promotions: 12:45pm - 1:30pm
BBQ: 1:30pm - 3:30pm

The seminar is almost half-full after 4 days, so don't wait too much longer to register if you plan on attending.

There are some updates for the Black Belt Seminar & BBQ on Saturday, October 10th at Boston BJJ. Read below for details:


REGISTRATION:

There are only 20 spots left at the Seminar!!!

The seminar has been filling up very quickly and we expect it to be full by the end of this week. If you plan on attending the seminar and/or the BBQ, we would recommend signing-up online as soon as possible.


BBQ SIGN-UP:

The deadline to guarantee a spot at the BBQ is this Sunday, October 4th. This cutoff is so that we can place the supply and food orders. The BBQ deadline also applies to anyone that has "free event" attendance, as well as to black belts, instructors, school owners, etc. Please help us with the BBQ organization by signing up by Oct. 4th if you plan on attending the BBQ.

Students/Guests may still have an option to sign up for the BBQ late (after Oct 4th) or possibly even on the day of the event, but we cannot guarantee that there will be enough food to accommodate late sign-ups.


BELT PROMOTIONS:

There will be over 50 belt promotions on this day! Phil Myers, Aaron MacKinnon and Jimmy Delorfano will be receiving their black belts. In addition, Patric Barbieri, Doug Calenda, Mark Fishman and Peter Macero will receive stripes on their black belts.

Because there is such a large number of students being promoted, we cannot hold spots at the seminar/BBQ for everyone getting promoted. If you are on the promotion list, you will still need to register online for the seminar/BBQ if you want to attend those events. (Persons being promoted do not have to attend the seminar or the BBQ...they can come to just the belt promotion if they want).


SCHEDULE:

The seminar schedule has changed. Instead of doing belt promotions before the seminar, they belt promotion ceremony will now be held after the seminar. This will allow guests to attend the belt promotions and not have to wait 2 hrs for the BBQ.  Below is the new schedule:

Seminar: 11:00am - 12:45pm
Belt Promotions: 12:45pm - 1:30pm
BBQ: 1:30pm - 3:30pm

Below are the topics that each instructor will be teaching at the seminar:

Mike Pellegrino (Boston BJJ Blackbelt) - The Mount (achieving, maintaining and attacking)
Phil Myers (Gracie Barra NH Head Instructor) - The 50/50 Guard
