I'm in Dallas this week for work and decided to swing in to Machado's BJJ school. Its not every day you can meet an 8th degree black belt. Carlos was extremely friendly and everyone at his school was quite inviting. He took a lot of time to talk to me even though he knew I was just training for one day which was nice. All in all I had a great experience and would definately recommend stopping by for a class if you are ever in the Dallas area.
That is very cool. One of the nice things about this sport is that you can go train with a living legend of the sport. Its not like you can just go play HORSE with Bill Russell or shoot 18 with Arnold Palmer.
Here is a pic of the man himself. Again, really cool guy. He is doing a seminar in providence on the 25th and invited our school. I'll be out of town again unfortunately but it would be a great opportunity.
